Jeat’s practice is focused on civil, corporate, and commercial dispute resolution. He has wide litigation experience and has appeared at all levels of the Malaysian courts.
Jeat has particular expertise in the areas of banking and finance. He regularly advises and represents financial institutions on the recovery and restructuring of both conventional and Islamic financing, and on the enforcement of securities. He also advises and represents parties in receivership, winding up and insolvency proceedings.
Over the years, Jeat has provided many talks and training sessions to financial institutions, notably on conventional and Islamic financing as well as on court proceedings.
Jeat also acts for corporations and individuals in matters relating to probate and estate administration, shareholder disputes and oppression claims lodged by minority shareholders. He has wide experience working with foreign corporations and individuals, including clients from Singapore, the United States of America and the Republic of China.
